Toronto FC best not overlook struggling Columbus Crew

A visit from the ninth-place Columbus Crew on Saturday would appear to be the perfect opportunity to snap a two-game losing streak, but Toronto FC isn’t counting out last year’s MLS Cup runner-up.

“They’ve gotten off to a slow start this year, which I think makes them more dangerous,” defender Drew Moor said Friday. “They’re a bit of a cornered animal right now that is doing everything they can to get points.”

If Toronto FC has been underwhelming in its first stretch of home games this season — earning just four points from three matches at BMO Field — it’s nothing compared to the year the Crew is having thus far.
