Toronto FC striker Jozy Altidore says he has been happy to alter his style of play to accommodate Sebastian Giovinco, calling the Italian playmaker "one of the most special talents" in MLS history.
Altidore has yet to score in five appearances for Toronto FC this season, but he had an opportunity to open his account after drawing a penalty against the Montreal Impact on Saturday.
Instead of taking the ball to the penalty spot himself, the U.S. international pointed for Giovinco to take it, and the reigning MVP made no mistake in scoring.
In an interview with ESPN ahead of Sunday's game at the Portland Timbers, Altidore said the unselfish move was "the job of any teammate," especially when playing with someone like Giovinco.
