Early Giovinco Goal Enough for Toronto FC to Beat D.C. United

The atomic ant scored the quickest goal in Toronto FC history and Toronto held on for their second win of the season.

Toronto FC scored early and then held on for 89 minutes in a 1-0 victory over D.C. United. The win was just their second of the year and the club's first since the opening day of the season.

It would take Toronto FC less than a minute to open the scoring. A cross from Jozy Altidore would find Marky Delgado at the back post. Delgado would centre the ball for Giovinco, who found the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season.
