IRVING, Texas — University of Texas junior guard Tyrese Hunter has been named the Big 12 Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. This marks Hunter's first career weekly league honor, and he shares the accolade with Texas Tech's Darrion Williams.
In UT's two contests last week, Hunter averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals in 36.8 minutes per game. He converted 50-percent (13-26) from the floor, including a 5-of-11 (.455) mark from three-point range, and a perfect 11-of-11 free throws during the two games.
