The Eagles' LBer core was already thin and now Philadelphia might have to look for free agent linebacker options to fill the hole. With Jatavis Brown retiring, who could the Eagles look to on the free agent market to fill his spot or at least add depth to the position? A couple of names like Mark Barron, Alec Ogletree and Wesley Woodyard would be familiar to Eagles’ fans. However, the vast majority of the FA LBers are too old to be considered.
Miles Sanders became the Eagles #1 back in 2020 after being drafted earlier that April in the second round. Teammate Brandon Brooks has said this offseason that Sanders will have a huge year. Sanders himself said he left about 300 yards out on the field last year and expects to be a 1,000 yard rusher.
