The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Allen Robinson II, the team announced Thursday.

Robinson joins the Giants after one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who released him March 8 in a cost-cutting move.

The 30-year-old Robinson wasn't particularly productive in an overall stagnant offense in Pittsburgh, recording 280 receiving yards on 34 catches, his lowest output outside of an injury-shortened 2017 season. He also averaged a career-low 8.2 yards per reception.

Robinson now joins a Giants offense that ranked 31st in passing yards per game last season and had no wide receiver total more than 770 yards or four touchdowns.
