Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade after getting in an argument with Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone in the game vs. the Houston Texans. Ramsey was drafted #5 overall in the 2016 draft but has been vocal about his unhappiness in Jacksonville. Rumor has it that a trade could be done as soon as this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars explained that they would want “at least a first round pick” in return for Ramsey. One team that was previously linked to Ramsey was the Oakland Raiders. Raiders lost Johnathan Abram to a season-ending injury in the opening game of the 2019 NFL regular season and two first round picks in the 2020 draft. The Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans are other potential landing spots for Jalen. The 49ers had the worst secondary in the NFL last year, with Richard Sherman listed as their top corner. It would certainly be an upgrade with Ramsey over Ahkello Witherspoon opposite Sherman at cornerback.

Ramsey is just 24 years old with two pro bowl appearances in addition to all-pro honors. After losing Earl Thomas this offseason, the Seattle Seahawks are another team that should trade for cornerback. The Legion of Boom is dead and gone, which was evident in the Seahawks Week 1 match-up with Andy Dalton and the Bengals racking up 418 yards. The issue is the Seahawks only have a four draft picks.
