The New York Knicks have signed forward Darion Atkins and guard/forward Wesley Saunders, team president Phil Jackson announced. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Atkins, a 6'8", 241-pound power forward, averaged 7.6 points and 6.0 rebounds over 23.9 minutes in 33 games as a senior at Virginia while winning ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
Saunders, a 6-5, 215-pound combo guard, averaged 16.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists as a senior at Harvard last season.
