Knicks Rumors Roundup: New York Looking To Make More Trades

The New York Knicks got some needed cap relief by shipping shooting guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of a three-team deal on Monday night, but President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson isn't done making moves. Here's the latest rumors surrounding the Knicks:

DO ALEX KIRK, LOU AMUNDSON, OR LANCE THOMAS STICK?

New York saved $2 million by waiving center Samuel Dalembert, and got three big men in the trade on Monday. The Knicks are expected to waive all three, but they might keep one to help sure up their depth chart. Then again, the move seems to indicate the Knicks are committed to tanking this year, so they may cut all three.

GLEN RICE, JR.

The Washington Wizards are openly shopping second-year swingman Glen Rice, Jr., as he's found himself out of the rotation. New York is looking to add a young wing player for their future, and D-League product Langston Galloway. However, Jackson is intrigued with the talent Rice has shown at the NBA level, and may make a trade for him instead of signing Galloway.
