Knicks Rumors: Conflicting Report Emerge About Knicks, Lakers' Chances Of Landing Kevin Durant

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is one of the most talked about upcoming free agents in NBA history, even with the fact that he won't actually be on the market till the summer of 2016.

However, two teams that already seem to have placed themselves in the conversation are the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, with conflicting sources giving differing opinion on which big-market franchise has the early edge.

"No question about it,” a person close to Durant told Frank Isola of the New York Daily News. “Kevin loves Carmelo (Anthony). It could work in New York. But never rule out the Thunder.”

Got that?

“I do not see [Durant going to the Knicks]. Better chance in LA," an NBA scout told Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv.

What this all likely means is that no one truly knows where Durant's head is at in regards to 2016, chiefly because there's still a season and a half to go before he really has to start worrying about it.
