Will The Jets End The Season Winless?

It’s been a totally miserable season in the NFL for the New York Jets. Their Super Bowl dreams ended in week 11 and they go into their final three games still looking for that first victory. Will they get a win this season or end up with a 0-16 record?

Sunday December 13 saw the Jets travel to the Seattle Seahawks. They actually scored an early field goal to take a 3-0 lead. However, that was their only score of the game, and they ended up losing 40-3. That was their heaviest defeat of the season, hardly encouragement as they bid to avoid a winless season.

New Jersey online gambling has made great strides since being legalized. Make sure you do some research before registering with a site. This includes information on such areas as financial transactions, support and offers. Will you want to bet on the Jets to win a match though?

There are three games left, two are against the LA Rams and Cleveland Browns who have both won nine games this season. Strange as it may seem, the best chance the Jets have of winning a match is against the New England Patriots. The team that has dominated the NFL in recent years isn’t such a major force now. They are 6-7 for the season and struggling to make the play-offs. However, they have won four of their last six matches and with home advantage for their upcoming games, it’s looking bleak for the Jets

The Jets have had problems all season and only really come close twice to getting a win. One was at home to the Patriots where they blew the ten point lead they had going into the final quarter. Then in Week 13, they were just 13 seconds away from winning at the Las Vegas Raiders, only to concede a late touchdown. The Jets probably aren’t the first to leave Las Vegas talking about the win they nearly had.

So why are they 0-13? They have big problems when it comes to defending the pass. 393 points have been conceded, only Dallas have had more points scored against them this season. Quarterback Sam Darnold hasn’t been supplying the Jets with the points they need. He went ten games without a touchdown before scoring two at Las Vegas. Then at Seattle, up against another team with a poor defence, Darnold only managed 132 yards and was sacked three times, nowhere near good enough.

There is hope for the future though with players such as Ty Johnson and Josh Adams showing great promise. Recent games have seen them score 83 points against the Patriots, Chargers and Raiders. On the flip side against the Dolphins and Seahawks, they only scored three points in each game. That makes it seven games in which they have scored ten or less points.

Is that win just around the corner?  It’s not looking good for the Jets and it’s likely they will become the first team to lose all 16 games since Cleveland three years ago.
