Brett Favre Says Tom Brady Is The Best Quarterback In The NFL

This NFL season has been one of the best for quarterbacks in league history.

Denver's Peyton Manning broke the record for career touchdown passes in a career, then Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger set the record for most career games with six touchdown passes (then promptly threw six TDs again in the next game).

Despite those outstanding performances, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre (who held the career touchdown pass record before Manning broke it) says its Tom Brady that's the best quarterback in the NFL today - not Manning, Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, or Aaron Rodgers.

"We've learned not to write Tom Brady off. Today's game, he's the best quarterback out there," Favre said. "Not taking anything away from everyone else, but he's proven that he can get it done. Bottom line, he can get it done."

NBC analyst Tony Dungy agrees with Favre, who said recently that Brady's career has been better than Manning's because "It's all about getting the Super Bowls and winning, and Tom's been to five of them."

On the season, Brady has 2,392 passing yards (5th in NFL), 22 touchdowns (3rd in NFL) and just three interceptions in leading the Patriots to a 7-2 record.
