Today, Nebraska closed out their weekend series against Minnesota, but also the regular season as well. It was a sunny, nice day in Minneapolis for these two teams to play a very close and tit for tat game. Sadly, Nebraska came out on the wrong end of this one dropping their final game 7-5.
The Gophers got the scoring going early today as Syndey Strelow had an RBI double to score Jess Oakland and take the 1-0 lead early in the bottom of the 1st.
Katelyn Caneda had a really nice double play, with bases loaded and only 1 out, to get the Huskers out of the 1st without any more damage done.
