What We Learned from #8 Michigan's 28-10 Win over Purdue

This game was much closer than what the score says. Even though Michigan won 28-10 against Purdue. Michigan wore down Purdue and after two ejections from two key Purdue defensive players this game was basically over.

1.) Michigan Needs to Solve QB Situation
Starting quarterback Wilton Speight left today's game with an undisclosed injury after a sack. Backup quarterback John O'Korn looked alright throwing for 270 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Michigan will have a bye week to figure out their quarterback situation as they prepare for the heart of their schedule.

2.)  Chris Evans Is a Playmaker
Man Chris Evans looked good. Making plays when Michigan needed it the most. He was the spark that this Michigan offense needed rushing for 97 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. He looked much better than Ty Issac who managed only 20 yards on 10 touches.

3.) Michigans Defense is Young and Talented
This defense is young but they are talented. They held Purdue to only 189 yards of total offense and nine first downs. The defense continues to carry this team. What impresses me the most about this defense is even when the offense goes three and out or has a few consecutive drives where they struggle the defense always shows up to play.

Michigan's next game will be in-state rival Michigan State after their bye week.
