Photo: Shea Patterson Gets Fitted For Michigan Football Helmet

Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson is among the Rebels players that Michigan is recruiting to transfer following the NCAA sanctions Ole Miss received last week, and it's starting to look more and more like he's on his way to Ann Arbor.

In a photo that was taken and has been floating around social media, Patterson appears to be getting fitted for a Michigan helmet:

The man on the right with the duck tattoo on his hand is Michigan football equipment manager Sonny Anderson, showing that this isn't photoshopped or anything like that.

Patterson and a few Ole Miss teammates were visiting Michigan this weekend and were seen at the Big House yesterday.

It's no surprise that Michigan has emerged as the favorite to land Patterson as a transfer. His father is a Michigan fan (the family used to have season tickets) and his dad said that he "always thought [Shea] would have played at Michigan or Notre Dame." Patterson admitted as much this summer, saying that he "had dreams of playing in the Big House."

Patterson was the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting class, according to the 247sports Composite, and took over as the Rebels' starter at the end of the 2016 season when Chad Kelly got hurt. However, he debated transferring that offseason following Hugh Freeze's firing and the NCAA case but opted to return to Oxford, where he began the season as the starter.

Patterson put up eye-popping numbers in the first seven games of the season, passing for 2,259 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
