Not long after losing LB Drew Singletary to a transfer, the Michigan Wolverines have now lost OT James Hudson. The redshirt freshman will transfer from the program, the school has confirmed.
Hudson was in the mix to start at OT this year, but did not win the job in a battle with Juwann Bushell-Beatty. Hudson had a few snaps in games against Western Michigan, Nebraska and Maryland.
When Bushell-Beatty was injured late vs. Michigan State, it was Andrew Stueber who took over.
"He's done a good job. He's progressing well," head coach Jim Harbaugh said of Stueber when asked Monday. "He went a little bit ahead [of Hudson]. James dislocated a finger in the previous ball game, so Andrew had more reps, so he went ahead on the depth chart for this week."
Hudson was a 4-star recruit out of Toledo, Ohio. He was ranked #231 overall in the nation in his class and made a position switch from DT.
Michigan is projected to have six scholarship OTs back next season and four committed in the 2019 recruiting class.
