Here’s Where Michigan Has Been Ranked In The Preseason Coaches Poll Each Of The Last 10 Years

The Michigan Wolverines will come into the 2017 season ranked #9 in the coaches’poll released today after a successful 2016 for the program despite their heartbreaking loss in the Orange Bowl to Florida State. Michigan is going into the third season under head coach Jim Harbaugh and are hoping for a bounce back season from quarterback Wilton Speight, who toughed out the last two games of the year with a broken collarbone.

Though they have to replace 19 starters, Michigan will be getting a very nice boost from their incoming class of 30 recruits, which was ranked #3 in the country. 5-star prospects WR Donovan Peoples-Jones and DL Aubrey Solomon headline the class.

The Wolverines were placed #7 in the preseason poll last year after seeing themselves left out the two seasons prior.
