Indiana dipped into the state of Florida’s talent-rich pool of football prospects on Tuesday, adding a commitment from athlete Phillip Dunnam.
Although Dunnam is not yet ranked by 247 Sports — that is expected to change in the coming days — he also holds offers from programs such as Florida State, Syracuse and Appalachian State, among others. According to 247 Sports’ Andrew Ivins, IU is recruiting the 6-foot-1, 180-pound North Miami Beach product as a safety.
As a junior last fall, Dunnam saw time at receiver and corner for his high school team while also serving as a punt returner.
