Source: Rockets, rookie Gary Clark reach 3-year deal

The Rockets reached an agreement with rookie Gary Clark on a three-year, partially deal, a person with knowledge of the agreement said.

The deal will convert Clark’s two-way contract to a standard NBA contract, with Clark moving into the roster spot opened when the Rockets waived Danuel House Jr. on Tuesday.

Clark, who was an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati when he agreed to the two-way deal with the Rockets and their G League affiliate, is averaging 3.4 points on 29.9 percent shooting. The Rockets have considered his potential to develop as a solid 3-and-D forward a promising, moving Clark ahead of Carmelo Anthony in the rotation to lead to the decision to part ways with Anthony.
