MINNEAPOLIS – Had the Rockets become convinced they were heading to another blowout, few could have blamed them. With relatively few exceptions, no one in the building seemed prepared to argue.
The Rockets led by 19 before the Wolves ended the half with a brief half-minute run that seemed to expose that the Rockets had shifted into cruise control far too early. By the time the Rockets tried to crank up their energy again, it was too late.
The Rockets were blown off the floor in the third quarter and never recoveed as the Timberwolves rolled past to a 103-91 win.
