With the potential for trades picking up beginning Saturday, when most free agents signed last offseason are eligible to be dealt, the Lakers have been mentioned as particularly active in talks. The Lakers, however, have reportedly been hesitant to include their young core of Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart – in trade discussions.
"We really like our young players. What we're trying to build here isn't just win right now, this year. We're trying to build something we can be solid for the next 10 years. A big part of that are some of those young players, Lonzo being one of them.
