James Harden takes over to hold off Blake Griffin, Pistons for Rockets' 5th consecutive win

James Harden had his full repertoire going, but that was not enough.

He finished drives, drew fouls, drained a few 3s. He set up Clint Capela around and above the rim. He even moved up a spot in the Rockets record book, surpassing Rudy Tomjanovich for third in franchise scoring.

The Rockets needed more. They needed Harden to be point guard on one end, power forward on the other, with Harden doing enough defensively to hold off Blake Griffin's fourth-quarter charge and take the Rockets past the Pistons, 126-124, for their fifth-consecutive win.

Harden led the Rockets with a season-high 41 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and four steals.
