Gregg Popovich's move up NBA wins chart delights Spurs

SAN ANTONIO – Spurs coach Gregg Popovich had no interest Tuesday night in discussing him gaining sole possession of fourth place on the NBA's all-time wins list after sharing the spot with Pat Riley for a few days.

"You guys have a good evening," Popovich said as he pivoted to the locker room when a reporter attempted to squeeze in a question about the achievement.

While Popovich was silent, his players had plenty to say about him after he gained victory 1,211 by guiding the Spurs past the Suns, 111-86.

"A great guy who cares about his players, cares about the development of them and wants to bring out the best out of his team," Patty Mills, the longest-tenured Spur on the current roster, said of Popovich.
