Brandon Knight makes Rockets debut

Rockets guard Brandon Knight made his season debut on Thursday, coming off the bench for his first playing time since February 2017. Knight tore the ACL in his left knee that July and had a follow-up surgery a year later.

His return to the court was actually ahead of the schedule the Rockets expected when training camp began and several days earlier than they planned even when Knight began practicing with the team last week in Salt Lake City. He was going to play a second game with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Thursday, but with James Ennis III out and Knight improving in practices, the Rockets decided to begin working Knight into the mix on Thursday.
