LAS VEGAS – Not two weeks ago, in the moments after Saint Mary’s spoiled a senior night by beating the Zags on their home court, a dejected, deflated team sauntered back onto the floor to address its fans.
“We lost by three, but it felt like we lost by 20,” senior guard Eric McClellan said tonight, regarding the Feb. 27 loss.
McClellan’s decree that night: the promise of a league title.
