Rather, it was a letter written by McClellan his freshman year of high school, asking Dudney to not give up on him. He has it stashed away in his office still.
Dudney always saw McClellan’s potential, but the letter solidified his belief that he had a future, not just in basketball, but as a person.
“I knew deep down he wanted to make a change, I knew who he wanted to be,” Dudney said.
