Warriors Weekly: Stephen Curry's Return Boosts Golden State Into The New Year

The Golden State Warriors closed 2017 on a seven-game homestand that saw the Warriors post a somewhat disappointing 5-2 record and both losses came by double-digits to mediocre teams in the Denver Nuggets and Charlotte Hornets. However, the return of Stephen Curry at the end of the homestand will give them a boost in 2018. Here's an update on everything you may have missed and everything you need to know inside our Warriors Weekly update:

Last Week:
Coming off a Christmas Day win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State picked up a dominant 126-101 win over the Utah Jazz. After winning by one at the half, the Warriors outscored the Jazz 42-22 in the third quarter to turn the game into a blowout.

After that, the Warriors suffered perhaps the most disappointing loss of the season in a 111-100 loss to the Hornets on Friday. Dwight Howard went off for 29 points and 13 rebounds for Charlotte in the win while the Warriors turned it over 18 times.

However, Golden State was able to bounce back the next night with a 141-128 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in the second game of a back-to-back. Curry returned from his ankle injury in that game and scored a game-high 38 points - including 10 three-pointers - to lift them to the win.
