Warriors News: Marreese Speights Pleads No Contest To Misdemeanor Reckless Driving Charge

Golden State Warriors forward Marreese Speights pleaded no contest to a reduced misdemeanor charge of reckless driving on Monday that stemmed from his arrest in Tampa in August.

Speights was originally charged with driving under the influence and paid $903 in fines and court costs. His BAC level was recorded at .103 and .106 percent at the time of arrest - the morning after his 27th birthday.

The plea agreement was reached after Speights' attorney filed a motion that the evidence was obtained in an illegal traffic stop.

Speights is averaging 11.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game off the bench for the Warriors this season.
