Hoyas Defeat Pirates, 77-58

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball squad used huge second and third quarter efforts to down the Seton Hall University Pirates (8-10, 1-6 BIG EAST), 77-58, on Sunday afternoon at McDonough Arena. It was a team effort to improve the Hoyas to 10-7 overall and 2-4 in BIG EAST play.

“When we’re defending, when we’re all on a string and we’re sharing the ball, it goes well for us,” said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair. “I challenged our posts to crash the boards, I challenged Faith Woodard that we needed rebounds from her.
