Florida Football News: What Does The Gamecocks Loss Mean For Will Muschamp?

The Florida Gators' hopes of a trip to the SEC Championship Game fell apart on Saturday in the wake of a stomach-turning home overtime loss to Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

With that loss, head coach Will Muschamp (and in particular the team's offense) are back under scrutiny once again in Gainesville.

As Bleacher Report's Barrett Sailee sees it, "the margin for error was so small coming into the season, and the way Florida won and lost in 2014 was probably more important to athletics director Jeremy Foley than the win-loss record. Unfortunately for Muschamp, the hurry-up, no-huddle system of new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper hasn't done anything to kick-start the offense."

Sailee also gives Muschamp a "0 percent" chance of saving his job after seeing the team's SEC East title hopes go up in smoke in overtime.

Whether that's true or not, the fact remains that a seat that was cooling down for a second is once again uncomfortably hot for Muschamp and his entire coaching staff.
