The East Carolina women’s volleyball team traveled to Boiling Springs, North CarolinaFriday and Saturday where they brought home two straight wins, defeating Alabama A&M University (3-2) and Gardner-Webb University (3-1).
For head coach Julie Torbett, the Gardner-Webb game created a milestone for her as she won her 100th match in her seventh season with the program.
“Coach T is a winner on and off the court,” redshirt junior libero Brandee Markwith said. “I’ve never met someone more competitive. She pushes us to become strong, independent women not just in volleyball, but in life. That’s something I will always take with me even after my volleyball career is long over with.
