Instant Reaction: Cavs Outlast Sixers For 87-86 Victory

Cleveland built a lead early in the first quarter over Philadelphia, but both teams battled back and forth in the second as the Cavs held a 53-45 halftime lead. The 76ers cut into that in the second half and tied the game in the fourth quarter, but Cleveland got the stops they needed to down the stretch and held on for the close victory.

Key Stat:

Philly was able to slow the game down and control the tempo of the game by limiting Cleveland's offense, but the Cavs were able to outplay the Sixers in the halfcourt, outrebounding them 53-45.

Cleveland MVP:

LeBron James wasn't very efficient shooting the ball (only 8/24 from the field) but he did finish with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Kyrie Irving also played well with 17 points.

Philadelphia MVP

Robert Covington gave the Sixers the offensive spark they needed to stay competitive in this game, finishing with 19 points and five made three-pointers.
