In what has been a tough season for the Cleveland Cavs and their fans alike, the Cavs seem to be sputtering to a close this season -- at least in the eyes of head coach Mike Brown.
Per Tom Withers of the Associated Press, Brown is struggling to figure out why his Cleveland Cavs team has looked so listless in back-to-back losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics -- both Eastern Conference cellar-dwellers --
"We look like we're going through the motions," Brown stated after the loss to the Celtics. "It's not good. It's not good at all."
However Monday's practice brought a bit of optimism out of the Cleveland Cavs coach, giving him hope that the team will show some fire on Wednesday night in their season finale against the Brooklyn Nets --
"Guys worked hard. It was good to see," Brown states in Withers' article posted on Tuesday morning. "I don't know any other way. We want to establish a foundation, a culture here going forward, not just to try to get better for today or do the right thing for today, but long-term it can have lasting effects on the team that are very beneficial for us."
The Cleveland Cavs will have plenty of questions going into the offseason, with Mike Brown and the contract status of star Kyrie Irving being two of them, but Brown seems to want is for the Cavs to finish off this season with some fight.
