Football is back which means it's time to arbitrarily pick our favorite uniforms in the Big Ten for 2015 (and perhaps make some people angry in the process.) Here's our Full Rankings Of Big Ten Football's 2015 Uniforms.
14. Indiana Hoosiers
Similar to Oklahoma's uniforms without the winning. They get docked for that.
13. Tie (Nebraska Cornhuskers & Wisconsin Badgers)
If you switched uniforms and kept the same helmets, we wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Meh.
11. Michigan State Spartans
They're bland but Spartan green is relatively appealing to the eye when shuffling TV channels.
10. Minnesota Golden Gophers
We know one of Minnesota's base colors is maroon but we must be color blind because we see brown. Is maroon-brown a thing?
9. Illinois Fighting Illini
We'd have these higher but we still have nightmares of Tim Beckman patrolling the sidelines in orange and white.
8. Maryland Terrapins
We have a thing for Arena Football-lite uniforms. Sorry.
7. Iowa Hawkeyes
The look is classic but the Russian judge deducts points for looking like they ripped off the Steelers (or the other way around).
6. Purdue Boilermakers
Extra points for pulling off the black/gold combo better than the Saints. Extra, extra points for the new flat, black helmets.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes
On one hand, the uniforms are a true classic. On the other hand, our eyes cross looking at them with all the coverage they've gotten this offseason.
4. Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Our inner geek cries out for joy when we see the silver, worn armor helmets.
3. Northwestern Wildcats
Raise your hand if you think purple and black should be more of a thing in football uniforms. We do.
2. Michigan Wolverines
It was a relatively close race between UM and our #1 choice. While we're not willing to interchange the two, especially with how Michigan has backpedaled on recent efforts to modernize a true classic.
1. Penn State Nittany Lions
White helmets. Basic blues. No frills except for a stripe on the helmet. You'll never mistake PSU for another team when you're channel surfing. These aren't just the best uniforms in the Big Ten. They're the best in all of football, college or otherwise.
