The University of Wyoming's Ja'La Henderson was recognized as the Mountain West Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Henderson set the Cowgirls' triple jump record Friday at the Colorado Invitational with a leap of 42 feet, 11 inches. She also finished second in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 19-6.
The Dayton, Ohio, native holds the conference lead in the triple jump and her mark is tied for the 14th-best nationally.
