LARAMIE — With Utah Valley missing a pair of ranked players to injury, the Wyoming wrestling team was in good position to pick up a dual win Friday night at the UniWyo Sports Complex. But the No. 17 Cowboys wouldn't have finished with a score as dominant as 38-4 without pulling out some close contests.

Wyoming won nine of 10 matches against the No. 25 Wolverines, including three in which head coach Mark Branch said Wyoming were underdogs.

"Really proud of those victories," Branch said, "because in a tight dual situation, which this could have been, that really breaks it wide open for you and lets your guys relax and go out and have fun and wrestle.
