Wyoming track and field adds to record books

The University of Wyoming's Jordan Edmonds ran the fourth-fastest 200-meter dash in Cowgirls history Friday at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.

Edmonds finished with a time of 24.37 seconds to finish 17th overall in the stacked field.

Also for the Cowgirls, Ja'la Henderson placed third in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 19 feet, 10.75 inches.

For the Cowboys, distance runners Christopher Henry (Laramie) and Michael Downey (Cheyenne East), competing in the Husky Classic in Seattle also put their names in the Cowboys' all-time top 10.

Running in the 5,000, Henry clocked in at 14:34.
