University of Wyoming senior Damon Unland was named the Mountain West Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Unland won the hammer throw at the Colorado Invitational on Saturday with a mark of 197 feet, 4 inches.
The reigning MW hammer throw champion currently leads the conference in the event by more than nine feet over younger brother Kirk Unland, a redshirt freshman at UW.
