The NHL draft is just days away, and it's the perfect opportunity for teams to re-equip themselves for the future. But the Buffalo Sabres don't have time to build for the future they need to build for today. The core of the Sabres (Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville) are all pushing 30, Miller and Vanek's contracts will be up shortly and some of their past draft picks are ready to step into the NHL.
