Portland Pilots women's basketball forward Alex Fowler has been nominated for the 2023 NCAA Woman of the Year award. Fowler was nominated by the West Coast Conference along with San Diego volleyball player Gabby Blossom.
The NCAA Woman of the Year program, established in 1991, honors the academic, athletic and community achievements of graduating female college athletes across all three divisions. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have earned a varsity letter in an NCAA-sponsored sport and have earned her undergraduate degree by Summer 2023. Eligible student-athletes are nominated by their institution, with each conference reviewing the nominations and submitting their nominees to the NCAA.
