Streak snapped: Penn State baseball defeats Mount St. Mary's after 11 straight losses

Since Penn State’s home opener, Nittany Lions fans have had little to cheer about at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

That all changed Wednesday night, as Penn State defeated Mount St. Mary’s 7-2 giving the blue and white their first home win since their home opener, which was over one month ago on March 17. The victory also ended Penn State’s 11-game losing streak, its longest streak of any kind this season.

Right-hander Brenden Kennedy would get the spot start for the Mountaineers, but his outing was very brief. He lasted only one inning, allowing no runs on one hit and a strikeout.
