Penn State men's basketball guard Nazeer Bostick announces intent to transfer

Penn State’s Nazeer Bostick has announced his intent to transfer out of the program.

Bostick announced via Twitter on Thursday that he was leaving Penn State after two seasons with the Nittany Lions.

Bostick averaged 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game this past season. He was suspended for two games during the team’s NIT Tournament run after being arrested on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession.

He also did not feature in the team’s title win over Utah, although he was eligible to play.

“Naz indicated that he is interested in continuing his basketball career at a program where he can play a more significant role,” said Nittany Lions coach Pat Chambers said via a release.
