Penn State baseball falls to West Virginia at PNC Park

Looking to take inspiration from the National League Central-leading Pittsburgh Pirates, Penn State took a break from Big Ten conference play to face off against West Virginia at PNC Park for the second time in as many years.

Unlike their major league counterparts, the Nittany Lions were unable to muster up any sort of offense throughout the game and could not capitalize on a great team effort on the mound en route to a 3-2 loss in 10 innings on Tuesday.

Penn State hoped that it could snap a seven-game losing streak coming into the contest, but the Nittany Lions were once again let down by their performance at the plate.
