Byron Jones might not record a lot of interceptions, but he has been a lock down corner for the Cowboys. With Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper also both free agents, there’s an assumption that Dallas can’t afford to keep all three but is that really the case? Tom predicts Byron to get a record-setting deal.
Free agency rumors have linked Jones most closely with the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. Reportedly, the two east coast teams are expected to get in a bidding war for Jones. The Giants have plenty of money to spend with roughly $74 million is cap space and with one of their biggest needs being CB, Jones to the Giants makes perfect sense.

The Raiders and Rod Marinelli also have a strong case to land Byron Jones. The Raiders always seem to be in the market for a cornerback and this off-season is no different. Mike Mayock drafted Trayvon Mullen and brought in Lamarcus Joyner but adding Jones would be a definite upgrade to a struggling defense. Mitchell Renz, host of the Raiders Report, has also called Jones one of his top targets for the Raiders in free agency.
