NFL Final: Everything You Need To Know From Week 7's Action

Week 7 of the NFL season is nearly in the books and that means we have PLENTY to cover from one of the most fun Sundays we're going to have this season. Check out our NFL Final below for the five biggest on-field stories from Sunday.

Peyton Manning Is Declining

It's not fair to write Manning's obituary, but it is fair to point out that he is declining. He's clearly not the same player he once was, and is regressing rapidly. He leads the NFL in INTs, something Peyton Manning just does not do. We might never see the Manning of old again.

No More Winless Teams!

Congrats, Detroit, you got off the schneid with an overtime win against the Chicago Bears. Of course at 1-5, the Lions still aren't likely going to make the playoffs. Unless the Lions make an impressive late season run, head coach Jim Caldwell could lose his job.

The Seahawks Just Can't Close Game

Seattle has lead in the fourth quarter in every game, usually late. However, the Seahawks hold a 2-4 record because they can't close games. Something needs to change for Seattle, or the losses will continue to pile up.

This Is Why You Run The Ball

The Dolphins had given the ball to Lamar Miller more than 10 times just once this season and their dimensional offense was a huge factor in Joe Philbin being fired after just four games. This week, Miller ran the ball 19 times for 113 yards in a Miami win. It's not a coincidence that the Dolphins' only two wins have come when Miller gets 11 or more carries. Keep running the ball Miami, and you'll win more games. The same goes for the Chargers and their 65 pass attempts with just 21 runs against the Packers. Most offenses must be balanced to sustain success.

The Bengals and Panthers Are Both Contenders

With strong starts to their seasons, the Panthers and Bengals have both proved that they are legitimate contenders this season. The Bengals have one of the deepest teams in the NFL, while the Panthers are taking advantage of a weak schedule, a great defense and offense carried by Cam Newton. Sure, they both have flaws, but they are contenders.
