Four weeks of the NFL are now complete, and we have a better idea of which teams are legitimate playoff threats. It's still too early to declare any team the Super Bowl favorite, but it's not too early to start ranking all 32 teams. This list should change quite a bit each week and shouldn't be taken as gospel. While records are a big factor, power rankings are more than just a team's wins and losses. With that in mind, here are the NFL Power Rankings for Week 4.
1. New England Patriots (3-0) (Last Week: 1)
Maybe the NFL shouldn't have gone after Tom Brady with such aggression. It looks like Brady is trying to make every team he faces pay for what the NFL did to him. Even though New England was on bye, I've still got them at No. 1.
2. Green Bay Packers (4-0) (LW: 2)
No Jordy Nelson, no problem for Aaron Rodgers. The Packers have played well so far and look like the class of the NFC. A game against the Rams could be a challenge.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (4-0) (LW: 4)
Andy Dalton is completing 67 percent of his passes, with 9 touchdowns and one pick. The Bengals are well on their way to making the playoffs for a fifth straight season. Ben Roethlisberger's injury only helps the Bengals.
4. Denver Broncos (4-0) (LW: 5)
The Broncos defense has been incredible. Peyton Manning has looked better, but there remains room for improvement.
5. Atlanta Falcons (4-0) (LW: 6)
The Falcons could easily have a loss on their record, but they have earned all of their wins. Their schedule is very easy and they could start 9-0 this season.
6. Arizona Cardinals (3-1) (LW: 3)
The Cardinals may have lost to the Rams, but I still think they are a Top 10 team. It's tough to overlook their impressive +75 point differential, the most in the NFL by far.
7. Carolina Panthers (4-0) (LW: 9)
The Panthers are 4-0, but their opponents have a combined four wins. If they keep winning they'll keep rising, but they need to prove themselves against better competition.
8. New York Jets (3-1) (LW: 13)
The more I watch this Jets' team, the more I think they are a real threat. Their only loss was a close one against the Eagles, when the Jets' were missing key players.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2) (LW: 8)
The Steelers should have beaten the Ravens, but a loss means they're going to drop. They should be okay until Big Ben returns.
10. Seattle Seahawks (2-2) (LW: 10)
I'm very, very worried about their offensive line, but the defense looks strong. The Seahawks got lucky Monday night, but a win is a win. A game against the Bengals will help tell us how good Seattle really is.
11. Buffalo Bills (2-2) (LW: 7)
I still believe the Bills are a good team. They were without several key players against the Giants. If the Bills get healthy soon, they'll be just fine.
12. Minnesota Vikings (2-2) (LW: 14)
The Vikings looked terrible against the 49ers, but bounced back with wins over the Lions and Chargers. A loss to Denver is acceptable. With each game, that loss to the 49ers looks more and more like a fluke.
13. St. Louis Rams (2-2) (LW: 17)
I really don't know what to make of this team. They have impressive wins over the Seahawks and Cardinals, but also lost to the Redskins. A game against the Packers is an opportunity for the team to establish itself as a serious NFC contender.
14. San Diego Chargers (2-2) (LW: 16)
The AFC West could be a tough division, so the Chargers have their work cut out for them. The Chargers got a bit lucky against the Browns and I'm not totally sold on them yet.
15. Kansas City Chiefs (1-3) (LW: 11)
I still believe the Chiefs are better than their record says. They are threats in the AFC and should bounce back with a win over the Bears this week.
16. New York Giants (2-2) (LW: 18)
The Giants really should be 4-0. With Romo out, the Giants are capitalizing. I consider them the favorites in the NFC East right now.
17. Indianapolis Colts (2-2) (LW: 15)
The win wasn't pretty, but it's still a win. The Colts have flaws and they need Andrew Luck back soon. I'm worried about this team.
18. Dallas Cowboys (2-2) (LW: 12)
Dallas needed to tread water until Tony Romo and Dez Bryant return. Losing to the Saints wasn't part of the plan. If Dallas can't beat teams like New Orleans, they are in serious trouble. The Cowboys are riddled with injuries and the schedule only gets harder.
19. Washington Redskins (2-2) (LW: 23)
I still don't trust Kirk Cousins or Washington. However, a win over the Eagles was a big one. They deserve to move up.
20. Oakland Raiders (2-2) (LW: 20)
This is a young team that isn't consistent yet. Expect growing pains and flashes of talent throughout the season.
21. Baltimore Ravens (1-3) (LW: 21)
The Ravens are 1-3, but they could just as easily be 4-0. A win over the Steelers gives them a chance to still make the playoffs, although the team still has flaws.
22. Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) (LW: 19)
The Eagles' offensive problems aren't fixed yet. In a wide-open NFC East, the Eagles need to start winning.
23. Cleveland Browns (1-3) (LW: 26)
With such little offensive firepower, it's tough to trust Cleveland this season. Still, they could have won the game against the Chargers. They remain ahead of the Titans because of their head-to-head win. The Browns rise in the rankings not because of what they did, but because the other one win teams look worse.
24. Tennessee Titans (1-3) (LW: 27)
Until the Titans develop some consistency, which might take some time for the young team, they'll be outside the Top 20.
25. Chicago Bears (1-3) (LW: 32)
I'll say it. Jay Cutler has actually played okay. A win over Oakland is one of the best any of the one-loss teams have.
26. New Orleans Saints (1-3) (LW: 31)
A win is a win, but don't put too much stock into beating a depleted Cowboys squad.
27. Houston Texans (1-3) (LW: 25)
A blowout loss to the Falcons doesn't help and the Texans have major QB issues. Perhaps getting Arian Foster back will turn the tide of their season.
28. San Francisco 49ers (1-3) (LW: 28)
It's safe to say the game against the Vikings was a fluke. I don't trust this team at all. You can make a real argument that any of the bottom five's should be higher or lower that their ranking.
29. Miami Dolphins (1-3) (LW: 22)
And just like that, the Dolphins fired their head coach. The team needs to run the ball more, but it might be too late to save its season.
30. Detroit Lions (0-4) (LW: 24)
The Lions have struggled early and tt might be time to push the panic button. The Lions have no running game at all, but they have lost all their games by two scores or less.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3) (LW: 30)
When your only win is over the Saints, you don't deserve a high ranking.
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) (LW: 29)
The Jaguars couldn't beat a Colts team without Andrew Luck. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they rise as the season progresses.
