Until the top of the 4th rolled around, the Huskers were wondering who was walking under ladders and dicking about with black cats and spilled salt. Minnesota groundouts were hitting bases, Huskers were being thrown out at home, Kaylin Kinney was giving up walks and donking batters. And in the top of 3rd, two smoked shots by Billie Andrews and Sammie Bland resulted in a quick pair of outs after Sam’s missile was snagged in center and Billie was doubled off 1st.
But then Emmerson Cope reached by error to start to 4th, Peyton Cody ripped a laser off the wall in left and the Huskers were in business with runners on 2nd and 3rd and nobody out.
