Michigan State Football: Huge Underclassmen Recruiting Weekend On Tap For The Spartans

While the Michigan State Spartans basketball team prepares for its rivalry game against the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday, the football program will be playing host to a bevy of key 2016 & 2017 prospects for one of its "Spartan Days."

The Spartans had a succesful recruiting weekend last week, securing commitments from three vistors - Drake Martinez and twins David and Andrew Dowell. Now, with National Signing Day under a week away, head coach Mark Dantonio and his coaching staff turn their focus to an expected ten underclassmen visitors this Friday-Sunday.

Here's the projected list, courtesy of 247Sports:

2016 Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers WR Austin Mack (MSU Offer)

2016 Fort Wayne (Ind.) Wayne DE/TE Auston Robertson (MSU Offer)

2016 Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech WR/DB Demetric Vance (No MSU Offer)

2017 Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (No MSU Offer)

2017 Chandler (Ariz.) Basha Hunter Rison (Expected To Pick Up MSU Offer)

2016 Wayandotte (Mich.) MLK WR/DB Donnie Corley (MSU Offer)

2016 Traverse City (Mich.) West OT Thiyo Lukusa (MSU Offer)

2016 Saint Clair Shores (Mich.) MLK RB Martell Pettaway (MSU Offer)

2016 Canton (Mich.) Plymouth OT Michael Jordan (MSU Offer)

2016 Farmington (Mich.) Harrison DE Khalid Kareem (MSU Offer)

Four-star WR Austin Mack is one of the standout names on that list, as the Spartans look to sway the heavy Ohio State lean into the fold in East Lansing.
