Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler believes his injury was the one thing that kept his team out of the second round in the 2024 NBA playoffs.
An MCL injury sidelined Butler for the entirety of Miami's five-game series loss to the Boston Celtics. In a video shared on social media, he said the Celtics "would be at home" if he had suited up:
You can't totally dismiss Butler's comments after Miami sent the Celtics packing in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals. We've seen the Heat far exceed expectations in the playoff crucible on multiple occasions in recent years.
