C.J. Anderson Has Surgery On Torn Meniscus, Headed To Injured Reserve

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson suffered a torn meniscus in Monday's win over the Texans, and will undergo surgery that will likely place him on injured reserve, reports Mike Klis of 9News:

Denver originally feared that Anderson may have suffered a more serious injury, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Anderson has suffered a torn ACL, effectively ending his season.

Anderson has had the best season of his career to this point, rushing for 437 yards and four touchdowns on just 110 carries.

Rookie Devontae Booker, who was getting more and more carries every week, will take over as the starter in the backfield. He has 244 yards and a touchdown on 51 carries this season. He ran for 83 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries against the Texans.
